That would have come in handy for the people on the "Lost" island. Just drive right through the jungle, kill some others, and take off from the beach. (We just finished season 2) Lost is certainly a fitting name for a show that goes nowhere. Although, I can't stop watching.
We watched the first season, and I think most if not all the second season... then gave up. Haven't been motivated to take it up again, maybe some day.
