Last week my step-brother showed me an article that he had saved for me from the USA Today. It has a list of websites that are free and give different pieces of advice and information. I have only checked out a few so far, but they seem to be pretty useful. I found a link to that article if you want to check it out.

I've been thinking about the possibility of actually having Income for the first time, since it seems so close, I've gotten to thinking about what I will do with money that I do not have to pay back someday.
Hope you guys find this useful too.

Funny Link
Here's a funny link from a website called Rivalfish. The site revolves around sports mostly, but the rival room is funny even if you don't like sports. I do want to put out a warning, some things on the site are off color and can be pretty raunchy. You've been warned, so if you're not too sensitive about that kinda thing... click at your own risk. http://www.rivalfish.com/rivalroom/2007/10/theres-only-one-october-and-theres-only.html
I would recommend this list about the worst possible spokespeople for baseball and the top 17 advertising look alikes, top 50 manliest men, and 25 ugliest people in sports. Enjoy! Now that Radiohead is out I'll prabably make a post about the album once I have time to give it a couple of good listens.

Latest from "Smashing Pumpkins"

I have recently obtained the new "Smashing Pumpkins" album, Zeitgeist. I use quotes because they come back with only two of the original members. The drummer and Billy Corgan. I figured since Billy Corgan ran everything anyway, it would be like the old pumpkins. I think that it is really good. I would post a sample, but I am not sure how to set up audio. Check it out.

Check out this link for good news about the best band in the world... or at least in my opinion.

An interesting story
Since many people invited to or involved with the blog still have ties to the great state of Michigan, I wanted to pass along this link. If you still follow the state you may have already heard, but here is an article about the budget there.

If you have ties to the state at all it's worth looking into.

Good Start
I was glad to see two posts already up on to the new blog this weekend. Keep up the good work and we'll have to try to get more people involved. I wish I had a good suggestion for you Kurt, but don't really. I know you hated it at the time, but aren't you glad you took that accounting course now? I personally use yahoo finance to look into those types of things, but a book that went more into investing is something I would definitely read. I hope more people I've invited to write in the blog will make suggestions as I know some of them are more qualified to make suggestions on that. Also, thanks to Grant for posting some music ideas. These are the types of things I was hoping for, so I hope we'll have lots more posts.
Finally, I was going to ask people to suggest websites they use at work in their spare time. I know some of us have more than others. I use espn.com the most, especially articles written under page2. I look periodically at rottentomatos.com for movie news and reviews, and read yahoo and cnn for news updates. I wanted to see what everyone else has found and looks at when passing time (especially at work).
