Funny one, new tracks

Ok, so first a funny link. Especially love the "Hey, no fair fleeing over that slightly uneven terrain!" bit.

Also, put on a new My Morning Jacket track (on the playlist that is). It seems to be the most rocking of the new tracks I've heard. I listened to about three or four new tracks and I'm not sure about this new album, but it would be tough to top their last few albums. If don't know these guys, you gotta listen to some MMJ. Their last album Z, is full of great tracks so I can endorse it much easier than the new CD I'm not so sure about. I know the album cover is goofy, but give it a shot. If you're too cheap for itunes, etc... just listen on playlist.com it's worth the time (Note:this site might not be the best out there, but it's the best one I know of so if you know a better one... I'm all ears; lame pun not intended).

What do you think?

Lately I've been hooked on pandora radio, so I haven't been adding things to my playlist here on the blog. So the question is does anyone use the playlist? What do you think of the tracks, especially did you hear something new you liked/disliked? Finally, do you have requests for the playlist, no promises the songs are available or I'd put them on but input is appreciated.

Funny Article

I typically don't read much of the Onion, but my boss sent me this article. We've talked a lot about economics and investing and such. He thought that I'd get a kick out of it, which I did. Likewise, I figure that you guys would enjoy this eyebrow-raising article.

It puts a whole new perspective on the guys who scrounge around during the Spartan football games.

Smashing Pumpkins ='s smashing alarm clocks

After my Smashing Pumpkins post that reminded me of an important lesson learned freshman year of college. This is one lesson that had nothing to do with the hundreds of dollars wasted on textbooks. You see up until that point in my life I'd always just used either the buzz sound of the alarm clock, or maybe the radio like Sonny and Cher a la Groundhog Day (a classic by the way). Well, that all change once KVB and I became roommates. You see he lent me what I thought was something I'd been missing all my life, an alarm clock that could wake you with cassette tapes and not this. Turns out waking up sucks even when you are waking up to this instead (lent on cassette with the alarm). In fact you even begin to hate something you used to really enjoy. Anyway, the morale of this story... stick to the buzz sound because it's better to hate that than to be conditioned to hate the good things (another victim of freshman year).

Stupid youtube crap

My roommates here introduced me to the buffalaxed videos, which are basically foreign songs which he's written subtitles for what he thinks the words sound like in english. It's mostly stupid, but partially awesome.

This one is the crazy Indian song, or Benny Lava. Also the music video itself is sweet!

David

I don't know what possessed me to check this blog today (extreme bordom of the early morning I guess) and there was actually new stuff, so I thought that I would add my own, since this picture is great.

At work we were talking about Roman art and the scuplture in our waiting room. So one of the girls just had to forward me this picture about when the statue of David was brought to the states.

After a short stay in America, Michelangelo's David returned to Europe...

I know this is dumb...

I know this is dumb, but it killed me. I only read The Onion from time to time because a lot of the stuff on it is just not that funny, but this one really had me cracking up. Hope you enjoy.
